Its a book about a mouse that was born with his eyes open and is in love with a human princess. He's really excited about the book and has told me about his love for it several times. | | Shark Tale (2005) | | Will Smith Turns The Ocean into a Ghetto State As an animated film, "Shark Tale" is an average film. It does nothing that makes it stand out or excel, when compared to other CGI created animated films. In fact if anything stands out about it, is how greatly flaccid it is. After viewing it, you get the impression that you just watched a mildly entertaining "B movie". Now, it holds most things that you would think would bring the, ha ha ha. Things that failed in this film.. like pop culture jokes(even if they skew the movie greatly), self-indulgent celeb. voicing (that makes you cringe more than laugh), and splashing neon animation (that looks to distract.. rather than enhance). So they failed in the executing of them, and were mild in extracting our excitement. Looking like something that could turn into "Shrek" or "Ice Age", we end up with a product closer to "The Emperor's New Groove". The Product "Shark Tale" is an animated movie, that takes place in the ocean. In a world were fish talk and have built reefs that look less like the actual ocean (like in Finding Nemo)and more like a fishopolis city with N.Y. embodiment. | Old Woman Tale | | There is wisdom in old age. Most of the host in EWTN are old personalities. Sometimes you think what would an old person, whose face is all wrinkles and eye drooping. They have the treasure of wisdom. Life is richer sharing with old people. The old woman in the neighbors tells us some wisdom not from books. Always think positive, feel good about yourself. Most ladies begins life from a simple person, good luck makes them feel that they have worked hard to become rich and they talk and express themselves in a manner of a rich woman. They speak english, even not fluently, there is a feeling of classy and air of affluence. But the curve of life is not always on an upward line. One day the line goes down. Somehow poverty creeps in through the door. It is hard to accept and go back to a more simple way of expressing oneself. The air of arrogance is still there. It seems they have acquired a habit to be classy. It is not easy to cry out when poverty clothes you in humility. Better live a simple life, do not shun prosperity when it knocks at the door but be prepared when it leaves. In poverty and in richness thank God, life is still beautiful. Love is more important. | | Children who tattle tale... | | I have 3 children. My oldest is my daughter who is 4 and my youngest daughter is 3. My stepson is 5. My 4 year old is a devil. She likes to pick on her brother and sister. My 3 year old just comes and tells me with no emotion. My stepson just sits and cries about it. Punishing my daughter just does not work anymore. I tell my stepson and my 3 year old to fight back. I dont know what else to do. I dont want my children to be wimps. My stepson always just takes crap. His little 16 month old cousin beats him up like pulling his hair, pushing him and other things. He wont defend himself. How does any other parents deal with this sort of thing? | |

| The handmaid's Tale - what do you think? | | Handmaid's tale is of course a classic. Margaret Atwood, in my opinion, wrote in a way that was ahead of her time. handmaid's tale, at least for me, is a quick read and it both depressed and interested me. Have you read it? What did you think? I really found it such a depressing concept to think that a dystopia such as that could exist today. It would only take a certain type of dictator - which we have in the world today! (mugabe for instance). What are your thoughts? | |
