receptacles Discussions
| electrical codes State of AZ | | We recently purchased a new house. It rained yesterday and the exterior GCI outlets tripped. The cad cell on the gate lights did not come on and they were very hot to the touch. We flipped the one 20 amp breaker and discovered that the entire 3 car garage was also on that breaker.
All total, there are 5 single interior receptacles, 1 double interior receptacle, 4 exterior receptacles, 4 interior lights, 2 exterior lights all being controlled by the one 20 amp breaker.
Can you tell us if this wiring meets the electrical codes?

| | How to make the perfect cup of tea. | | It is possible that, aside from water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage amongst the many and varied peoples of this world, and would seem to have enjoyed this place in people's hearts for many a year. But perhaps this is not so surprising when one considers its manifold and preternatural health giving properties, its wide availability, and (to use the modern vernacular) its 'ease of use'. I therefore submit for your edification, a guide on how to make the perfect cup of tea.The first thing we must consider is the water to be used. Water with impurities or cleansing agents will effect the final taste of the tea and should therefore never be used; fresh, spring water is the wise man's choice or, as an alternative in these modern times, bottled water may be used. The second consideration is of course the tea itself. And there is a veritable plethora from which one can choose. The authors recommendation is Earl Grey, but the burden of choice must lay with the individual. Suffice it to say, the tea must be loose, and tea bags must never, under any but the most extreme of circumstances, be used. Tea bags hinder the dispersal of flavour from the tea, introduce unwanted... | |
| | Gorgeous mooncake boxes | | More than a week has passed since this year's Mid-Autumn Festival but I am still enjoying the exquisite flavour of mooncakes. It is not that I received too many gift boxes of the sweet, oily food. I bought the cakes I have loved to devour since my childhood - but at discount prices. Every year before the festival I receive a few boxes of mooncakes as presents from friends and relatives, but seldom eat them. I give them to other friends and relatives. To treat myself and my children, I buy non-packaged cakes, which are much cheaper than their equivalents ensconced in those fanciful receptacles. I often buy them after the festival because they become at least 50 per cent cheaper the very moment the full moon begins to wane on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. The mooncakes I bought before the festival, which fell on September 18, cost 9 yuan (US$1.12) each. | |

| | bought a new home a few years back? | | have you ever seen anything as ugly as mustard colored or yellow bathroom fixtures. i am a self doer, in the process of renovating i have found so many mistakes made by the original contractor i have to wonder if they had inspecters back then. from things like upside down receptacles, to the water taps being hooked up backwards, unpowered wires that run nowhere and wires powered and going no where, have you ever wondered, who built your older home and, what kind of drugs they were on? lol | |
| | Why Did Men Begin Walking on the Side of a Woman Nearest the Road? | | Back in 16th century England, before homes had indoor plumbing such as toilets and sinks, chamber pots were used as receptacles for dirty water and wastes. People had the habit of emptying these chamber pots by throwing them out of upper-story windowns of their homes into the gutters below. So, why did men begin walking on the side of a woman nearest the road? | |
| | Courtesy flushing are you one of those people? How often do you go? | | I'm so curious as to how many folks courtesy flush? I sometimes hate when I have to use the restrooms here at work and they are just filthy. It reminds me of when I was in elementary and there was fecal matter on the walls, floor and left on the bowl itself. Do people have courtesy these days? I mean if you're one of those folks that have issues with bowel, wouldnt' you think to bring wipes or flush a few times and throw your paper in receptacles. How often do you use the bathroom? Are you a frequent crapper, ahahhaha!? | |
| | Why can't women be ordained as priests? | | For a long time in history women were considered receptacles of spirituality within a community. The priestess was the most important person in a state-city as Sumer, Athens, Tyr, Sidon, etc.Romans and Tracians introduced the pontifux maximus position exclusivelly available to the male gender.Christian, Judaic and Muslim religions dismissed women's possibility to become priests, although in the period of Early Church, women were equal with men. Should be women allowed to become priests?P.S. I'll be away for 2 days, but i can't wait to see read your comments. Have a wonderful weekend. | |
| | paper or plastic? | | What type of bag is better for the environment? Clearly, using the reusable bags is the best bet, but if you don't have them with you, which is better? I think the paper bags can be recycled easily, but many grocery stores have receptacles for the plastic bags...what do the grocery stores do with the recycled plastic bags? Can they make new ones from old ones? Thanks for your help! | |
