| | My PS3 BluRay... | | Ok so last week my husband was playing our PS3 and all of a sudden the game froze and he had to shut off the whole system before the console ejected the game. After research through google and an error message from the PS3 we've concluded the BluRay laser is broken!
I called PS and they said we can send our console in and if they can replace the system they will charge $175 and if they can't they will send a new one for $145. The one we have is one of the originals the 60GB so it can play PS2 and PS3 games and the new ones can't.
I asked why it's cheaper to get a new PS3 and he didn't really answer my question. I asked that if they couldn't fix my PS3 console would they let me know before they replaced it and he said no.
I read some blogs where people have fixed there own BlueRay lasers and it's not difficult my very time consuming and detailed. I'm wondering if it's worth it to just see if Sony can fix my PS3 or should I just fix it myself? My PS3 is out of waranty to I'm screwed either way. I just don't want to make if worse if I don't have to.

you can also mention ur favorite games:)For example, I think most of the ps3 games have excellent graphics, Just Cause 2, best game, graphically speaking, i ever played. this game's gameplay is great, one of the best i experienced... lots of explosions, fun, etc... my favorite things about games:P
Ps3 FTW, it has a lot more stuff than the xbox, and i think most of the games have better graphics on ps3 and stuff..
Prices... only thing i hate about ps3 games... 70€ for a goddammed game? S***, and some of them are worth the price so why? why the overpriced games? Damn...

| | Heavy Rain (PS3) | | i ve recently played this game on ps3 console. i gotta say, the graphics are downright eyecatching and it s very detailed to the normal maps of each of the character s clothing. and this while in gameplay, mind you. the story, they say, revolves around 4 main characters trying to solve the mystery behind the killings of a notorious kidnapper called the origami killer. the 4 characters try their best to uncover who this anonymous killer really is and to save a kid who s father is one of the main characters in the story. what i like about it is it s more reality based than mysterious, black magic type, or thriller type game like silent hill. the writer undisputedly captured my interest without using any of the paranormal or magical elements commonly used on video games. it s more like a playable movie to me. to add more, the outcome of the story is based on the decisions that you make during the gameplay. and if a character dies, the game still goes on. there are no game overs. how about you guys? have you heard about this game? what do you think? | |
| | PS3 current and upcoming games | | Hi people. I own a PS3 and currently have 3 games, Little Big Planet, Tony Hawk Ride (I didn't buy this) and NBA2k10. I am planning to buy a new game, most preferably a shooting game. What would you suggest? I don't really like sandbox games like GTA and I won't buy COD, not that I don't like it, just...don't want to haha. My parents are also strict and won't allow me to buy games like Assassin's Creed and Left For Dead 2.I would like to buy the games that will be coming out.
I think that the best new game or upcoming game will probably be Heavy Rain, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and God of War 3. Final fantasy just isn't my thing...turn based, kinda slow paced and boring for me. Another possible game for me to buy is Just Cause 2.What do you guys think? Is Battlefield worth the hype? Is Just Cause 2 good enough? Does it even have online multiplayer?I would appreciate your help and opinions. | |

Ps3 have definitely a better core and graphic processor but while surfing on gamespot i found that most game that has been release on both ps3 n xbox have better resolution on xbox.
For me ps3 is better.F**k the xbox. | |
