| | | Greg Oden, is he for real? | | He's the loudest player on the rookie list for being the top overall pick. Can he live up to the expectations? | |
|
| Kevin Durant VS Greg Oden | | Different Position, Different Style but both are studs in the making.Who is your pick the Buckeye or the Longhorn...I will go with Durant (Garnett X Mcgrady according to Kerr)
He maybe a wingman but his freshmen stats are impressive,
fundamentally sound and has a good shooting range... | |
| | NBA 2008-09 Rookies | | Who do you guys think would win the NBA 2009 ROY award? This batch has been phenomenal so far, though not as great and hyped as the 2003 batch which had LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.At first I though that it's going to be Derrick Rose of Chicago but things have gone so unclear lately. Memphis' OJ Mayo has been spectacular as well as New Jersey's Brook Lopez. The Clippers' Eric Gordon, Oklahoma's Russell Westbrook, Miami's Michael Beasley, and Portland's Rudy Fernandez also are playing great and as expected. My take: I think it's going to be OJ Mayo of Memphis but getting it without a fight from Derrick Rose.Rose vs Mayo. Derrick Rose is second overall in scoring among rookies as well as in minutes played but leads all rookies in assists by a far mile. As of this writing, Rose averaged 6.3 assists a game, way far from second leading Russell Westbrook with 4.9. What could pull Rose close to the ROY award? Aside from his stellar stats, it's Chicago's current position in the standings. The Bulls are in the hunt of a playoffs spot. If Chicago can make it to the playoffs, Rose's got a good chance of winning the ROY. What can pull him down?... | |
| | Whos the Not What You Expect Team of the Upcoming NBA Season? | | Maybe Portland comes out and has a great season with Greg Oden and is the top team in the Pacific Division for the season. The Rockets could come out and have the best record in the Pacific with the addition of Artest. Larry Brown could redeem himself and make the Charolate Bobcats the top team in the East after coaching his first losing team ever the Knicks. Most teams will obviously be good such as the lakers and celtics but do you think any team will be a big suprise? | |

| | Will team USA win a medal in the 2008 Olympics? | | Ever since the Dream Team was created in 1992 Team USA has dominated every single basketball olympic game. But now teams from other countries have become more better, in competing with USA Teams and even surpassing them, and Team USA felt disappointed for not taking the gold home in 2004, but i think the biggest wake up call was in 2002 when they competed in FIBA World Basketball Championship and came in 6th place. But now since Team USA have all stars such as Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and the 2 rookies Greg Oden and Kevin Durant, how will they fair against teams like Argentina, France, Puerto Rico, and France to name a few who also have all stars such as Tony Parker, Manu Ginobil, Dirk Nowitzki just to name a few. So will Team USA win it all? | |

| NBA Rumors: Bulls may inquire about Collison, Gasol | | It's a safe bet Chicago Bulls' general manager John Paxson will inquire on longtime Bulls favorite Nick Collison's availability now that the Seattle SuperSonics jumped to No. 2 and will land either Greg Oden or Kevin Durant.Packaging the No. 9 pick with players whose contracts expire after the 2007-08 season, such as Chris Duhon and Viktor Khryapa or both, could be attractive to teams looking to trim payroll. It's likely Paxson also will revisit talks with the Memphis Grizzlies regarding Pau Gasol now that they fell all the way from the top pick to fourth after the lottery.Source: Chicago Tribune | |
