| Beatles: Favorite song? | | Beatles Fans, what's your most favorite song of them?
Mine is Here, There and Everywhere for its melody. Here, There and Everywhere
(Lyrics)To lead a better life I need my love to be here...Here, making each day of the year
Changing my life with a wave of her hand
Nobody can deny that there's something thereThere, running my hands through her hair
Both of us thinking how good it can be
Someone is speaking but she doesn't know he's thereI want her everywhere and if she's beside me
I know I need never care
But to love her is to need her everywhere
Knowing that love is to shareEach one believing that love never dies
Watching her eyes and hoping I'm always thereI want her everywhere and if she's beside me
I know I need never care
But to love her is to need her everywhere
Knowing that love is to shareEach one believing that love never dies
Watching her eyes and hoping I'm always thereTo be there and everywhere

| | Some Jkes that i found and wanted to share (some are very funny) | | Joke #1 Cats in bikinis, refer to the pic. Joke# 2 Doctor Dave
Doctor Dave had slept with one of his patients and had felt guilty all day long. No matter how much he tried to forget about it, he couldn't. The guilt and sense of betrayal was overwhelming. But every once in a while he'd hear that soothing voice within himself, trying to reassure him: "Dave, don't worry about it. You aren't the first doctor to sleep with one of their patients and you won't be the last. And you're single. Let it go......" But invariably the ther voice inside his head would bring him back to reality:"Dave, you're a vet....":)Joke# 3- The Perfect Worker:0 (this one is funny.)1. A lobbying group chaired by former CBI boss Sir Digby Jones to represent the travel industry over climate change will launch by the middle of next month.
Called Flying Matters, the coalition includes airports operator BAA, airlines British Airways, easyJet and Virgin Atlantic, as well as aerospace companies Airbus and Rolls-Royce. It will also represent trade unions, including T&G, and travel agents, and has appointed former energy minister Brian Wilson as vice chairman.
Environmentalists have been hammering airlines over the carbon emissions they cause. Currently, only carbon emissions resulting from UK domestic flights are included in government emissions figures. International flights departing from UK airports are excluded. Including all emissions from flights taking off from UK airports - domestic and international - the share of the UK's emissions caused by airlines could rise almost five-fold to 24 per cent by 2050.
Gordon Brown, the Chancellor, shocked the industry in December when he doubled air passenger duty on flights. Airlines pointed out that the tax was not directly linked to plane emissions. The...

| | Beach Boys | | Is it true that there are two groups touring as the Beach Boys--one headed by original member Al Jardine, and the other headed by Mike Love? If so, where does Brian Wilson fit in? | |
| | Smiley Smile or Smile? | | I listened to Smiley Smile for the first time yesterday and it's nowhere near as terrible as I've heard/read it was.
Most of the album & the bonus tracks were alot better than most of Wild Honey (on the same cd)From what I remember, the songs I heard from brian Wilson's recording of Smile just seemed like a total anti-climax.Are the Smile session recordings on the Good Vibrations box better than the parts/songs used on Smiley Smile?
| | Thinking About That Story of The Woman Stuck on The Toilet For Two Years | | All right I had started that article about that woman who had to be pried from a toilet seat for two years and she had literally had gotten stuck on it, and it was only recently that the boyfriend decided to get help for her...after two years! Here's that discussionhttp://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1434225.aspxOkay rattling in my mind is the WHY of it. What was wrong with the both of them..what was wrong with the boyfriend since he didn't get help sooner. When I heard the story I kind of laughed at it as it was so bizarre...but I'm here still trying to figure this one out...Both were obviously suffering from some kind of emotional problems...I may have an angle on the woman though--could it have been areal extreme case of panic disorder with agoraphobia?I'm an overcomer of panic disorder/agoraphobia myself, but of course not this extreme...geez, thank God! But I have heard of really extreme cases. I once did read about a young boy who was so agoraphobic it wasn't just a simple case that he couldn't leave his home, he couldn't leave his bedroom...at all, without panic attacks..everything had to be brought into him..his parents had to bring him in his food,... | |
| | This Week at "The Rest Of The Story" | | This week at "The Rest Of The Story" we took a look at homelessness in America and the impact of the foreclosure and layoff crisis. Homelessness is not always what we may think, it is not the drunken panhandler down on the corner. In a telephone interview with Adam Gaeddert from the National Coalition for The Homeless and Brian Wilson from the Homeless Ministry Connection we discussed the current situation. Adam informed me that recently at the Conference Of Mayors they polled 25 major cities to determine if foreclosure is in fact causing an increase in homelessness, the overall answer was a definitive "Yes"!The fastest growing population among the homeless are families, mostly single mothers with an average of 2 kids. As many as 1.25 million children are believed to be homeless in America. Single mothers and their children also represent the largest population of Americans living below the poverty line. You may think you are safe from foreclosure if you rent your home, however this is not always true. Some of the hardest hit families did not own their home, they rented. They paid their rent on time and never new that their landlord was not paying his mortgage.... | |
