| | How did you become a Guster fan? | | I first saw Guster when they opened for john Mayer in 2004. I'd never heard of them until I read on the ticket that they were the opening band. Went onto their website and listened to some of their songs and thought, hmmm, they're not bad. When I went to the show, I couldn't believe how much I loved their music! Ended up becoming a bigger fan of theirs than I was of John Mayer's. A few months later, I went to another show where they were playing with Rufus Wainwright and Ben Folds. Again, it was great. Afterwards I waited to meet them where their tour bus was parked, along with a small group of fans. Adam and Joe came out to sign autographs and allow us to take pictures. They couldn't have been nicer. Rufus came out too, and he was brilliant also. One more chance to see Guster live came after I moved to the UK. They played in a very small club in Manchester where I was able to get right up to the front of the stage! It was amazing. A real treat came before the show began when I spotted Brian sitting on a pinball game waiting to do the sound checks. Got my courage up and introduced myself. He was very nice as well. All in all it was a... | |
| | Wedding Songs | | So for those of you who are married, you know how important that first dance is. The first song we danced to was "She's My Kind of Rain" by Tim McGraw, so I thought that should be our wedding song. Then one night, my b-friend/husband said to me "what do we do if one of us has an idea for our wedding song?" and he told me he wanted "Wonderful Tongight." So after many years of thinking "Wonderful Tonight" would be our wedding song, I randomly downloaded "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds. As soon as I heard it, I told my b-friend/husband, and we immediately changed it. I wanted to share the lyrics of this song, because they are just awesome. The Luckiest, Ben Foldsi dont get many things right the first time
in fact, i am told that a lot
now i know all the wrong turns, stumbles and falls
brought me here
and where i was i before the day
that i first saw your lovely face
now i see it, every dayand i am, i am,
i am, the luckiestwhat if i'd, been born, fifty years before you
in a house, on the street, where you lived
maybe i'd be outside as you passed on your bike
would i know?
and in a wide sea of eyes
i see one pair that i
recognize
and i knowthat i am, i...

| | I AM SAM - Best movie soundtrack | | I believe that this movie 'I AM SAM' was the best movie that Sean Penn had ever portrayed. Actually this is my favorite drama movie of all time. Plus the fact that the characters on this movie are based on the songs of my favorite band 'The Beatles'.
It had great tracks from different artists and different genre with of course songs written by The Beatles being covered by those artists. The tracks are as follows:1.: Two Of Us - Aimee Mann/Michael Penn
2.: Blackbird - Sarah McLachlan
3.: Across The Universe - Rufus Wainwright
4.: I'm Looking Through You - The Wallflowers
5.: You've Got To Hide Your Love Away - Eddie Vedder
6.: Strawberry Fields - Ben Harper
7.: Mother Nature's Son - Sheryl Crow
8.: Golden Slumbers - Ben Folds
9.: I'm Only Sleeping - The Vines
10.: Don't Let Me Down - Stereophonics
11.: Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - The Black Crowes
12.: Julia - Chocolate Genius
13.: We Can Work It Out - Heather Nova
14.: Help - Howie Day
15.: Nowhere Man - Paul Westerberg
16.: Revolution - Grandaddy
17.: Let It Be - Nick Cave

| | do you sing/dedicate songs for your partner? if you do what are they and why? | |
i have been watching The Wedding Singer, and I really love how Adam Sandler was singing I Wanna Grow Old With You. He acted really good on that part. I liked how he was forcing himself not to smile too wide, so as not to ruin the scene and it really pulled it off. then i was also looking for some sweet songs that i could listen to, just for kicks, prolly to inspire me, despite not having a partner. lol. and then i found the song 'the luckiest' by ben folds, and i read on the caption on the video that i watched on youtube, it says that he made the video for his wife. some dedicated that song for their girlfriends after making doing something they terribly regretful, that've hurt their partner. i liked it.:)i think it's really sweet when men or women expresses their love through music. it sets the mood, and it explain the words you couldn't say. so how about you do you dedicate songs to the person/people you love?:>
