| | | OnStar | | I own a 2005 Buick LeSabre. It was bought brand new with rebates, tade in and an employee discount. Yes it was one heck of a deal after all the deductions. Now this car comes equipped with OnStar services which is a satellite service that has many great uses. I've used most services in my 2+ years of owning this car. OnStar is the in-vehicle safety and security system created to help protect you and your family on the road. OnStar's innovative three-button system* offers:
24-hour access to expertly trained, caring Advisors, A connection to emergency assistance, and Access to OnStar Hands-Free and other options in higher end plans. I love the service and use it daily as I drive checking the weather in the location I'm at wether it be in The USA Canada or even Mexico. It's GPS so it gives the weather from the area that you're driving in at the time. Does anyone else have this service? If so how often do you use it? Have you even heard of it? Do you have the driving direction options added?

| | mechanic talk | | where is the drain plug for the radiator on a 1997 buick lesabre 3.8 liter | |
| | Imports and loss of jobs... When did it all start? | | As a retailer of electronic equipment in the 1960's through 1999 I could see it happening first hand.We were dealers of Zenith, Motorola, Admiral, Hoffman and General Electric. We sold Zenith, Admiral and Hoffman transistor radios. The Hoffman was even powered by solar cells. They were high quality radios and our customers were happy with them. If one of them quit working our repair department could repair them at a very reasonable price, we couldn't even get parts for the other junk. All of a sudden we began to see Sony transistor radios hit the market in the U.S. and several unknown brands were being sold at discount stores. Who was buying these cheap brands that were flooding the market? Well, it was "Joe the automaker" and others who worked in factories located nearby. They would get their paycheck and head for the discount stores and it wasn't long before we were no longer selling our quality product. It wasn't long before Motorola and the other companies no longer manufactured small transistor radios. Japan, and the other middle east companies now owned the market. We no longer sold small radios.A close friend of mine was talked into buying one of the early Toyota... | |

| My car damage estimates | | Well I had that terrible accident last night. I own a 2005 Buick LeSabre. I checked the Kelly Blue Book site www.kbb.com and with the miles on it the value is $10,135. So far the estimate to repair the damage to it is near $5,000. The man stated maybe a little more after he checks further into the engine and all. SO I am hoping it does not get totaled as I love that car. Now I will be getting picked up to get my rental for 5 days. Long story there but that's been discussed and may be at a later date. So I wait for things to happen slowly with a 4 day weekend coming up. No work will be started on my car till Monday at the earliest. Have you ever had an accident? Have you ever had a newer vehicle totaled from an accident?
