| | | Let me share my day | | My day started out fabulous I woke up feeling very well compared to usual and I decided I was going to to the city to see my daughter and my two grandchildren. I made coffee and a lunch and had it in the fridge for my husband and his brother and off I went. I was a bit upset to find I was too late to go with my daughter to take my grandson to school but I felt better to see her come home with a Tim Hortons coffee for me. We had a good day. I spent the day visiting then I went to superstore I bought groceries and then I set for home. I was driving down the highway, thank goodness it's a divided highway. I had a semi transport truck ahead of me and for some reason he was way under the speed limit and I had a semi transport behind me who was doing speed plus. I pulled out and passed the semi and about the time I was half way point of taking the right lane my car died completely and I knew the semi behind me had already pulled out to pass the semi ahead of me and me too. I had no time to continue right and I went back to the left and managed to take the ditch. All I could hear was gears and I sat there for awhile shaking so bad I thought I'd die. I tried my car and it did start. No... | |
| | If You Were Filthy Rich ... | | Hey troops, what if you were filthy rich?I know my lifestyle would change, but would I give up my current friends for a bunch of social snobs? Nah ... not me. I'm too ordinary.I don't fit in with the "social elite" and I don't think I'd want to.One thing that would change is my residence. There's a home listed for $5,900,000.00 that I absolutely would die for. It's an architectural angular/glass home, three stories with an elevator, ultra, ultra modern, granite countertops, and the whole nine yards. It's just my cup of tea -- especially all the glass, and overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.Sure, I'd change my car from a Buick Century to something more befitting a rich snot, but even though I live on the Gulf of Mexico, I wouldn't get a boat, or yacht ... or ocean liner. How 'bout you, dudes and dudettes? How dramatically would YOUR lifestyle change if you had multiple millions of dollars? Let's just use $20,000,000.00 for argument's sake (or Pete's sake, or anyone else's sake).Memo to self: And who’s gonna wash all those windows, RJ? Good grief, I dunno. Maybe I can hire a scammer to make some HONEST bucks. © 2008 RJScott

| | What Color Is Your Car ... Why'd You Choose That Color? | | I have two cars. Both are Buick Century models. One is an off gold and on is kinda "mauve."I really like a black car, but they show the dirt so easily, and mine don't show it much at all. I think black is neat, streamlined and overall, just "cool." But I really do like the "brownish" car. It doesn't show the dirt at all ... nor does the "gold" one.I think they look kinda "classy. "What color is your car? What made you choose that color? Does it "hide" the dirt and street scum? Is its color one of your favorites? What made you choose it?Memo to self: Next time, RJ, get a "dirt" colored car and you won't have to wash it ... ever. (C) 2008 RJScott | |
